On Tuesday 13th of September the Hospital had the great honor with the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, being a great pride for all of us to be selected for the second time as a place of interest by the British Crown. During his visit, His Royal Highness Prince Edward had the opportunity to know the latest advances in infrastructure and services of the institution, which have been increasing since his previous visit in 2005. The tour began in the new Imaging services, going through part of the new service, and visiting later the Intensive Care Unit area. Prince Edward mentioned laudatory words for the development achieved and he also expressed his gratification in the various places he visited. Regarding his visit, he was honored by discovering a commemorative plaque that seals this period of our Hospital. In the end of the tour, in Hall Bauza, he signed the book of illustrious visitors laying a new milestone in the history of our institution. This event involves an exceptional recognition for the British Hospital and for all its members, as a vanguard and dynamic organization that moves forward; pride of the British Community in Uruguay.
